Claims to avoid

Statements you must not make about your products.

Updated 7 November 2026

Unless a claim is expressly allowed for that product in your market, don’t say or suggest that a product:

  • prevents, treats or cures a disease or condition;
  • is a medicine or a substitute for medical care;
  • is approved, endorsed or certified by Supplio, a regulator or a health professional;
  • is clinically proven, unless you hold evidence for that exact claim;
  • is safe for everyone, including during pregnancy or alongside medication, unless the product information supports it;
  • guarantees a specific result in a set time; or
  • contains something it doesn’t, or comes from somewhere it doesn’t.

Don’t use fake reviews, invented testimonials or misleading before-and-after images.

A statement appearing in our catalogue, a template or a blog article doesn’t make it allowed for your product. Get your own advice. See the Supplement & Health Disclaimer.
